Ecole Kenwood
French Immersion PreK-6
Academic Brief
Bonjour! Ecole Kenwood is proud to be part of the International Feeder Pattern, along with Columbus Spanish Immersion Academy and our High School - Columbus International High School. Ecole Kenwood's belief in the benefits of language immersion coupled with the staff's hard work and focus on academic success for all students resulted in 2 consecutive 'Excellent' ratings on the State Report Card (2010-11 & 2011-12).

Our French Immersion program (one of the few in the Midwest region of the USA) offers students in Columbus the opportunity to learn a second language while following the national Common Core Curriculum. Students are fully immersed in French in K through 1st grades, with the curriculum eventually taught 50-50 in French/English by 5th grade.

Ecole Kenwood takes pride in having staff and students from all over the world, with about 23 different countries represented.

Ecole Kenwood is also fortunate to be in line for a new building at our current site - we will provide updates as we get them regarding the timeline for completion. Please call and arrange a visit! 614.365.5502

When a student is struggling academically or behaviorally, Kenwood teachers will refer a student and invite their family to Student Assistance and Intervention for Learning (SAIL) & Intervention Assistance Team (IAT) meetings. After research-based interventions are attempted for up to 6 weeks - and no appropriate progress is made, the child will be determined to have a suspected disability, and the school district will evaluate him or her at no cost to the parent within 90 days.
